ELASTOMERIC COATINGS & EXTERIOR PAINTING

Elastomeric paint is an above grade exterior coating suitable for many surfaces such as brick, split-faced block, precast concrete, EIFS, and stucco. When water infiltrates into a building envelope system due to failed mortar joints, spalled bricks or small cracks and crazing, the application of an elastomeric paint is often a more cost-effective alternative to other waterproofing methods.

The application of elastomeric paint solves many problems. It provides a watertight seal, making the substrate impervious to water. Unlike clear water repellents, elastomeric coatings will bridge hairline cracks. This provides a uniform finish giving your building a "like new" appearance. Due to its unique elastic properties, elastomeric paint allows for thermal movement of the building without cracking, chipping or peeling. Typical exterior latex paint products will not provide such benefits.
