Elastomeric Coatings

Elastomeric paint is an above grade exterior coating suitable for many surfaces such as brick, split-faced block, precast concrete, EIFS, and stucco. When water infiltrates into a building envelope system due to failed mortar joints, spalled bricks or small cracks and crazing, the application of an elastomeric paint is often a more cost-effective alternative to other waterproofing solutions.

The application of elastomeric paint can solve many problems. It provides a watertight seal, making the substrate impervious to water. Unlike clear water repellents, elastomeric coatings will bridge hairline cracks. This provides a uniform finish giving your building a "like new" appearance. Due to its unique elastic properties, elastomeric paint allows for thermal movement of the building without cracking, chipping or peeling. Typical exterior latex paint products will not provide such benefits. The high quality elastomeric coatings Pro-Tec uses are available in a wide variety of standard and custom colors, offering building owners and property managers many choices to enhance the curb appeal of their buildings.

Applying elastomeric paint requires applicator knowledge beyond a typical paint job. Most painting contractors lack the experience or knowledge needed to apply these coatings properly. Pro-Tec has been applying elastomeric paint coatings to high profile, Class A office buildings and industrial facilities throughout New Jersey for over 20 years. Pro-Tec can proudly state that we have not experienced any warranty claims or product failures to date, which is a testament to product selection and the attention to detail of our experienced and knowledgeable applicators.
